Nilfer Ibrahim resigns as CR & FC Head Coach

Former Kingswood, Kandy SC, Navy SC and current Joes Head Coach Nilfer Ibrahim, who was in charge of the “Red Shirts”, tendered his resignation as the Head Coach of CR & FC with immediate effect.

CR & FC who started the season well lost their direction mid-way in the season. They finished third in Round 1 but lost both their second Round encounters to Police SC and CH & FC.

Former Zahirian, Mohamed Mushtaq, was appointed as the Acting Head Coach until a full time coach is appointed. CR &FC will be expecting a top 4 finish to qualify for the Super Round after the completion of their 14 league encounters.

Meanwhile their forwards Coach, Anura Walpola, will continue as the forwards coach of the Longdon Place outfit. CR will play Havies in their next encounter on 19 January, played for E Matthysz Trophy. (SJ)
