Nippon Paints Lanka ‘Official Overseas Sponsor’ of SLC National Women’s Team Tour of Pakistan

Nippon Paints Lanka is the Official Overseas Sponsor of the ongoing National Women’s Team tour of Pakistan. This is the first time the National Women’s Cricket Team is being sponsored by a construction brand.

Nippon Paints Lanka General Manager Nemantha Abeysinghe said: “We are proud to begin empowering the women in sports with this sponsorship of the Tour of Pakistan by the National Women’s Cricket Team. Despite the grave economic issues faced by the country we believe that it is our corporate social responsibility to ensure that women are encouraged not just to take to cricket but to shine for Sri Lanka.”

Sri Lanka Cricket Ashley De Silva CEO said: ‘’We wish to thank Nippon Paints Lanka for coming forward to partner with the upcoming Tour of Pakistan, which I am sure is going to give our players the exposure and the experience to become better at what they do, and by joining this endeavour, Nippon will certainly achieve the required exposure for its valuable brands.”

The Pakistan Tour of the National women’s Team began on 24 May with three T20s. Three ODIs began on 1 June and all matches will be played at the Southend Club, Karachi.
