Reuters: Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane scored his 200th goal for the club in Thursday’s 3-1 Europa League win at Bulgaria’s Ludogorets but he says records are not his focus right now.

Kane is only the third Spurs player to reach the milestone and the 27-year-old is eight goals behind Bobby Smith and could threaten Jimmy Greaves’s record of 266.

“These are great things but hard to take in while you’re playing,” Kane told the club’s website. “Once you finish your career you take it all in.”

Kane’s first goal for the club was also in Europe’s second-tier club competition, a neat finish late in the game against Shamrock Rovers in 2011.

“Time goes so quickly and it feels like yesterday that I scored that first goal,” he added. “It’s a great achievement to reach 200 and hopefully there’s a few more left. Let’s keep them coming.”

Spurs manager Jose Mourinho said Kane could go on and replace Greaves as Spurs record scorer.

“What he’s achieving in the Premier League and all competitions is great for such a young guy,” Mourinho added. “Can he become the record scorer? I believe he can. It’s just a matter of time.”
