Nuwan Indiaka was the Sri Lankan athlete who was in action yesterday in the Men’s Long Jump T44/T64 final event.
He managed to record his personal best by reaching a distance of 6.11m in his first attempt. This jump helped to the tenth position out of 13 contenders. Indika’s previous best distance was 6.09 m.
Markus Rehm of Germany won Gold in this event while Dimitri Pavade of France winning Silver. Felix Streng of Germany took the Bronze.

Buddika Indrapala will take part in the Men’s High Jump T42/T63 finals scheduled for today at 18.50 local time (8.20 pm SL Time). Indrapala has recorded 1.55m as his personal best in this event.
