Nuwara Eliya Club Championship 2017

Sachin De Silva stamped his class on the annual Nuwara Eliya Golf Club Championship 2017 which was worked off at the club course in Nuwara Eliya on 3 and 4 February. 

Sachin accounted for the gold medal and club championship while evergreen golfer Niloo Fernando was the runner-up in the Ladies’ category, losing out to Anouk Chetty. Ranil Peieris annexed for the ‘A’ Division title while the ‘B’ Division was claimed by Priyanga Hapugalle. 

Former Trinitian Surain Premathilake, with his consistent form, won the ‘C’ Division title in grand style over the weekend. 

Club Championship 2017 

‘C’ Division 

Runner-up: Brg. Nanda Hathurusinghe (2 days Nett 170) 

Winner: Surain Premathilake (2 days Nett 144) 

‘B’ Division 

Runner-up: Priyanga Hapugalle (2 days Nett 153) 

Winner: Sunil Udalagama (2 days Nett 151) 

A Division 

Runner-up Ranil Pieris (2 days Net 163) 

Winner: Sudath Kumara (2 days Nett 156)
