Manjula Chandrasoma won the Ogilvy Cup 2019 which was organised by the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club (NEGC) recently, beating Priyanga Hapugalle at the NEGC golf course.

More than 50 golfers teed off in a colourful event being a good warm up for the NEGC club championship to take place during 7 and 8 December. Some top golfing sensations such as Chandana Weerasinghe, Kamalesh Johnpillai, Amal Cabraal and Nilkamla Perera participated in this event. The Buchanan Cup which came in to play since 1912 was won by hometown hero Imran Nazir who got the better of Affli Raheem.

Romesh Abeyratne, Haroon Aslam, Manjula Chandrasoma and Priyanga Hapugalle fought out in a close battle for the Oglivy Cup which was won by Manjula Chandrasoma. In the final event Imaran Nazeer won the Golden Putter over Hapugalle, NEGC Captain.
