The champions of the Over-40 category was the Thomian Batch of 1976 filled with many stars namely Ken de Alwis, Ranil Peries, Mahinda Halangoda and Ruwan Sirisena. The runners-up were from the Thomian Batch of 1998, who participated in this category for the very first time. The event had a large gathering where everyone enjoyed the live music and fun-filled entertainment which was on offer. Furthermore, glamour was added to the event when veteran cricket commentator Amitha Abeynaike joined in for commentaries throughout the tournament.
The OTCU thanked the Gold Sponsor of the event, the Blue Ocean Group, Banking Partner Sampath Bank, Appeton and Smart Marine and Media Partner Pulse for coming forward and being a part of the event.
The organisers said they were looking forward to seeing many more batch and union teams participate in next year’s edition of the competition.
