Olympic qualifiers in China and South Korea

The Olympic Qualification 2020 Tournament for both Men’s and Women’s Rugby Sevens will take place next month. The Women’s segment will take place in Guanzhou, China, on 9-10 November, while the Men’s event will take centre stage in South Korea on 23-24 November. 

The Sri Lankan Men’s team, who are training hard with a squad of 28 players under head coach Matt Lee (NZ), aims to win this event in order to create history at this global event.

With the Olympics taking place in Tokyo 2020, the Japan Men’s and Women’s teams have already secured their berths as the hosting nation. One position each will be filled through the Asian qualification event in the Men’s and Women’s Tournaments next month. (SJ)
