Beats Army SC to clinch Women’s Invitational Major Club 50-over final

Sri Lanka women’s all-rounder Oshadi Ranasinghe was the match-winner for Air Force SC producing a fine all-round performance to enable Air Force SC clinch the Women’s Invitational Major Club 50-over final beating Army SC by 11 runs on D/L method after bad light had curtailed play at the BRC grounds yesterday.

Ranasinghe leading Air Force SC captured three wickets for 20 runs with her off-breaks to restrict Army SC to 154-8 off 50 overs, and in Air Force SC’s reply hit an unbeaten 34 off 42 balls (4 fours) to enable them to keep their nose ahead on the D/L net run rate.

For Army SC another Sri Lanka women’s cricketer Nilakshi de Silva shone with the bat making a top score of 72 off 105 balls (4 fours, 1 six).
