Over 250 schools to vie at All-Island Tennis Tourney

Over 1,400 competitors are vying for honours at the Arjan Perera Memorial Inter-Schools All-Island Team and Individual Tennis Tournament, which is now in progress at the SLTA Courts in Green Path, Colombo.

Over 250 teams representing 72 schools from 11 regions across Sri Lanka, including Jaffna, Batticaloa, Kandy, Matale, Kurunegala, Galle, Kalutara, Negombo, Gampaha, Ratnapura and Colombo are participating in this event in different age group categories.  

The tournament is conducted by the Sri Lanka Tennis Association (SLTA) in collaboration with Yeti, the leading isotonic energy drink manufacturer.

Director General of Sports Professor Shemal Fernando was the Chief Guest at the opening ceremony while former Davis Cup player Hatton National Bank (HNB) PLC Chief Operating Officer Sanjay Wijemanne, was the Guest of Honour.

Yeti Chief Executive Officer, Malik Perera, along with Directors Dr. Dilshan Balasuriya and Nishelli Perera, represented the brand at the opening ceremony.
