Pakistan ‘A’ won the three-match unofficial ODI series against Sri Lanka ‘A’ 1-0 after rain forced the third and final match to end in a no-result at the Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium yesterday.
Invited to bat first, Pakistan ‘A’ reached 167/4 off 32 overs, courtesy half-centuries from opener Omair Yousuf (59 off 72 balls, seven fours) and skipper Saud Shakeel (59* off 72 balls, four fours, one six) before rain ended the match.
Off-spinner Ashian Daniel took two of the four wickets to fall in the limited period of play.
Pakistan ‘A’ won the first ODI by six wickets and the second ODI ended in a no-result because of rain.
