Pakistan High Commissioner meets Sri Lanka Rugby President

The High Commissioner of Pakistan, Maj. Gen. (Retd) Muhammad Saad Khattak met with Sri Lanka Rugby President Lasitha Gunaratne at the Old Sports Ministry Complex Colombo yesterday (14).

The High Commissioner on behalf of the Government of Pakistan gifted Pakistan-made rugby balls and sports kits to the Sri Lanka Rugby President. The President appreciated and thanked Government and people of Pakistan for this kind gesture.

During the meeting, the High Commissioner emphasised on the importance of enhanced collaboration between the two brotherly countries for the uplift of our people. He further said that Pakistan was committed to provide continued support to Sri Lanka in enhancing the younger generation’s nation building capacities with better sports opportunities. 

Both countries value this broad-based relationship due to its mutual benefits and which will hopefully continue to flourish in the years ahead.
