Panadura SC concede 26 wides and lose

Panadura SC were made to pay dearly for the lapses on the part of their bowlers, who conceded 33 extras, 26 of them of wides, as they were beaten by 54 runs by Sebastianites in a Major Limited Over match played at Surrey Village grounds – Maggona yesterday.

Thanks to the luxury offered by Panadura SC, Sebastianites hit up a total of 228 and then dismissed their opponents for 174.

The other match scheduled for yesterday between CCC and Moors SC at the CCC grounds ended in a No-Result without a ball bowled due to wet ground conditions.

At Maggona – Sebastianites 228 (49.2) (Lakshan Rodrigo 26, Manelker de Silva 23, Sachitha Jayatillake 71, Madushan Ravichandrakumar 23*, Extras 33, Iwanka Sanjula 2/31) beat Panadura SC 174 (42.5) (Dunith Jayatunga 49, Heshan Dansushka 21, Abishek Gupta 38, Chamika Edirisinghe 4/34, Shashrika Pussegolla 2/24, Madushan Ravichandrakumar 2/33) by 54 runs.
At CCC – CCC v Moors SC – No Result (not a ball bowled).
