Sri Lanka’s Paralympians, Saman Subhasinghe in the 400m (T47) and Anil Prasanna in the100m dash (T42) won Gold, while their teammates, Indika Gamage in the 100m dash (T44) and Pradeep Somasiri running the1500m (T46) increased Sri Lanka’s medal tally securing a Silver and a Bronze Medal respectively at the World Para Athletics Grand Prix held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates earlier this week.
Earlier during the weekend, Paralympian Dinesh Deshapriya opened Sri Lanka’s Para medal count for 2023 by securing a Gold in the class S - 09 category at the FA Egypt Table Tennis Championships held on 26 February in Cairo, Egypt.
