Pavan Rathnayake and Sonal Dinusha hit a hundred apiece for Sri Lanka ‘A’ on the fourth and final day of the second four-day unofficial test against Pakistan ‘A’, which ended in a draw at Rawalpindi yesterday.
Pakistan ‘A’ who won the first unofficial test by 7 wickets took the two-match series 1-0. Rathnayake and Dinusha, the two overnight batsmen carried their unbroken fifth wicket partnership to worth 216, which helped Sri Lanka ‘A’ declare their second innings at 260-4, leaving Pakistan ‘A’ with a target of 284 to chase.
When the match ended Pakistan ‘A’ had replied with 156-3.
Rathnayake struck 8 fours in his 198-ball 100*, and Dinusha hit 10 fours in compiling 116* off 184 balls.
Mohammad Suleman scored 66* for Pakistan ‘A’ in their second innings with Haider Ali contributing 43*.
The two teams will meet in a three-match unofficial ODI series, commencing at Rawalpindi on
25 November.
