Peradeniya Central wins L.V. Jayaweera Memorial Challenge Trophy

Peradeniya Central won the 47th L.V. Jayaweera Challenge Trophy which concluded In Kantale yesterday.

Winners won four Gold Medals and one Bronze while the runner up Kadugannawa National School bagged three Gold Medals and two Bronze while the third place was won by Koraboruwana Maha Vidyalaya won Two Gold Medals, 2 Silver Medals and one Bronze. A.W.A. Jayatissa of Kadugannawa National School won the Best Boxers award while the Best losers award went to N.M. Rahuman of Zahira College.

Over 400 boxers from 80 schools participated in this event organised by Sri Lanka Schools Boxing Association.
