Peterites continue winning streak

St. Peter’s College continued their winning form and their contention for the League title as well when they handed off Science College 29/0 at Bambalapitiya last weekend.

The lads from Bambalapitiya led 17/0 at the short breather.

The home team drew first blood early as in the first minute of the game when Dulaj Navod brushed aside a few defenders to touch down their first try. Kushan Tharindu added the extra 2 points. Peterites touched down their second try through Dudesh Abeywickrema and the third one through Vindya de Mel to take a comfortable lead at the short breather 17/0.

Dineth scored next as Sudesh Jayawickrema added the extras. Sulaiman touched down for their bonus point plus glimmer of hope for the league title once more. (SJ)
