St. Peter’s College, defending league champions, will be up in the Central Hills where they will need to clear off Vidyartha’s threat at the Nittawela Rugby Stadium on 4 August.

Having a clear sheet, the lads from Bambalapitiya were never tested this season. They marched on, and even in their last game against Royal at Reid Avenue, they got ample points in the early half to win, though Royal made a comeback in the latter half.

In the other three Colombo games, Royal will have a field day against newcomers to the big league, Thurstan, at the Sugathadasa Stadium. The Joe’s vs. Wesley encounter should be a close call, while DS holds the edge over Science.

Meanwhile, in the other three games in Kandy, Trinity should be home against Rajans, while the Sumangala vs. Antonians game could be a close call with the lads from Katugastota holding the edge. Zahira will have their say against Kingswood at Bogambara Stadium.

St. Peter’s, Royal and Isipathana have already booked their Super Round berth, while either S. Thomas or Trinity will join them.
