Police Sports Club pulled off an unlikely win over the much-fancied Sri Lanka Air Force 11/3 last week-end at the Police Park.

Police collected their points from a try and two penalties while the Air Force collected only a solitary penalty. At the short breather, Cops led 8/0.

Police drew first blood through crack winger, Vageesha Weerasinghe while try and conversion came from Yohan Peiris.

Four minutes later, Sachith Silva was on target with a 30-meter penalty for the Cops.

Though Air Force made some solid moves Police defence stood firm not allowing them to cross their line.

After the turn around, Air Force put over their only score through their skipper, Nuwan Perera but Police replied a penalty through Yohan Peiris.
