Sri Lanka has added another left-arm spinner Prabath Jayasuriya to their Test squad for the second cricket Test against Australia starting at the Galle International Cricket Stadium on Friday.
Jayasuriya (30) has played in two ODIs for Sri Lanka in 2018 against South Africa but has since then been overlooked for national selection.
He represents SSC in the domestic cricket circuit and has taken 234 first-class wickets at an average of 25.61.
On Tuesday he returned career best figures of 7 for 17 in one-day cricket for SSC against Kalutara TC in the ongoing SLC Major Limited-Over inter-club tournament.
Sri Lanka who trail the two-Test series 1-0 after losing the first Test by ten wickets, also drafted in three more spinners on Monday – Maheesh Theekshana, Dunith Wellalage and Lakshitha Manasinghe.
