Premadasa sends wishes to record breaking sprinter

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa yesterday extended his well wishes to Parliament Sri Lankan sprinter Yupun Abeykoon, who has set a new national and South Asian record in the Men’s 100m event held at an International meet held in Dessau, Germany.

Premadasa said that Abeykoon has recorded a time of 10.16 seconds, which stands as the new record for the 100 meters. “On behalf of Parliament I wish to extend the wishes of the House to Abeykoon,” he said. Other MPs joined him by thumping their tables acknowledging the wishes.
