President opens new facilities at Rangiri Dambulla Cricket Stadium

President Ranil Wickremesinghe was the chief guest at Sri Lanka Cricket’s ground-breaking facilities at Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium recently.

A new swimming pool, a Hydrotherapy and Injury Rehabilitation Unit, a Modern Flood Light System for the ground were among the facilities.

The President also laid the foundation stone to build an indoor net and practice facility, a new media centre, and the redevelopment of the grandstand. Sports and Youth Affairs, Lands, and Tourism Minister Harin Fernando along with Sri Lanka Cricket president Shammi Silva and other executive committee members were also present at the occasion.
