Prima Sunrise focuses on the development of Junior Golf by providing young sporting talent with a platform to shine.
Among the emerging golfing talents, Reshan Algama has carved a notable position. Emerging victorious by an impressive 17 shots in the major division, Algama’s skills have put him to a spot among the top 2,000 amateurs globally. The Gold Division Girls segment will miss the remarkable Kaya Daluwatte this time due to her commitments in India. Nonetheless, the competition remains fierce with T. Atshaya, Shereen Balasuriya and Anumi Karunathilake vying for the top spot.
As the Silver division takes centre stage, Anuradhapura’s young talents are set to shine. With players like Janeesh Weerasinghe, Adhithya Weerasinghe and the two youngsters, Thejas Rathis Kanth and Keshav Algama to showcase their skills, the division promises thrilling golf action. In the Silver Division Girls segment, Dilini Amarwansa, who secured a comfortable first place in Nuwara Eliya, is ready to make her mark.
