Priyantha Herath leads 9-member team to 2020 Paralympics Tokyo

The Sri Lanka team for the Paralympic 2020 Games in Tokyo with Dialog and team officials

 

 

Rio 2016 Paralympics Bronze medallist Dinesh Priyantha Herath will lead a nine-member Sri Lanka team to the 2020 Paralympics in Tokyo. The team is scheduled to leave on 20 August for the Games that will take place from 24 August to 5 September.

Herath from SL Army Gajaba SC will participate in the F46 (Javelin) event.

The rest of the team comprises: Samitha Dulan of SL Army Military Police SC (Athletics - F44 - Javelin), Sampath Hettiarachchi of SL Army Vijayabahu SC (Athletics - F64 - Javelin), Palitha Bandara of SL Army SLNG SC (Athletics - F42 - Shot Putt), Maduranga Subasinghe of SL Navy SC (Athletics - T47 – 400m), Kumudu Priyanka of MAS Holding SC (Athletics - T45/46 – 100m, Long Jump), Sampath Bandara of SL Army Light Infantry SC (Archery), Mahesh Jayakody of SL Army Special Force SC (Rowing), Ranjan Darmasena of SL Army Gemunu Watch SC (Wheelchair Tennis - Single).
