The Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) hosted the highly anticipated January Monthly Medal 2025 sponsored by First Capital, setting the stage for a competitive start to the golfing calendar. The event brought together a talented field of golfers across multiple divisions, showcasing exceptional skill and sportsmanship.

The tournament concluded with Ehantha Sirisena claiming the Overall Nett Winner title with an outstanding score of 63 nett, highlighting his consistency and precision throughout the event. More than 280 golfers teed off in the much looked forward to event.

Division A (Handicap 0 to 9)

The top division saw an impressive performance from Sachin De Silva, who secured both the nett and gross titles with scores of 68 nett and 68 gross. Viran Fernando finished as the runner-up in the nett category with a score of 71.

Division B (Handicap 10 to 18)

In Division B, Thusith Wijesinghe delivered a stellar round, winning the nett category with a score of 64 nett, followed by Mangala Niyarepola as runner-up with 66 nett. Wijesinghe also dominated the gross category, carding a 77 gross to complete a successful tournament.

Division C (Handicap 19 to 28)

It was a triumphant day for Ehantha Sirisena, who, in addition to his Overall title, claimed both the nett and gross victories in Division C with scores of 63 nett and 83 gross. Adrian Pereira finished as the runner-up in the nett category with 67 nett.

Seniors and Masters Divisions

Seniors Nett: Subramaniam Yogendran (63 nett), Kan Butani (67 nett, runner-up)

Seniors Gross: Kumar Boralessa (80 gross)

Masters Nett: Asitya Wijesekera (67 nett), Prasad Kariyawasam (70 nett, runner-up)

Masters Gross: Bandula Weerasinghe (79 gross)

Juniors and Ladies Divisions

Juniors Nett: Hirusha Pramuditha (70 nett, B/B 9), Jacob Norton (70 nett, runner-up)

Juniors Gross: Jacob Norton (72 gross)

Ladies Silver Nett: Jade Jiggens (71 nett), Janaki Sugathapala (74 nett, runner-up)

Ladies Silver Gross: Jade Jiggens (86 gross)

Closest to the Pin (9th Hole): Reshan Silva

Longest Drive (8th hole): Husni Uwise
