RCGC Monthly Medal: Sachin De Silva in sparkling form

Top class and consistent performing golfer Sachin de Silva was in sparkling form when he accounted for the Overall winner at the Monthly Medal-September which took place at the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) course recently. He was in sensational form with some powerful shots with top class accuracy was a treat to watch at the course in Borella.

More than 120 golfers teed off in the monthly event which was very competitive among the members. A Mahinda accounted for the Nett win in the handicap zero to nine segment while Old Royalist Ravindra S Wijeguneratne became runner-up. Amrith de Soysa, another top notch did not participate due to an injury while many youngsters (Kaya, Haroon, Reshan, Yannik) were missing either due to being overseas or due to studies. The main sponsors were John Keells Properties and the award ceremony took place on day two at their club house. (SJ)
