The prestigious Faldo Series, Sri Lanka, powered by DFCC Bank, will be hosted by the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) from 7 to 9 January.

As part of Sir Nick Faldo’s globally recognised development initiative, the event provides a platform for young golfers to compete at the highest level and gain international exposure.

This is a great initiative by both RCGC and DFCC Bank to prop up as sponsors, bringing the series and the fastest-growing sport, golf, to Sri Lanka.

RCGC Captain Amrith de Soysa, understanding the importance of improving the standards of junior golf, emphasised that the RCGC’s commitment to developing the sport is great at this juncture.

de Soysa, speaking to the Daily FT, said: “As the leading golf club in Sri Lanka, the RCGC is proud to host the prestigious Faldo Series International Junior Golf Tournament in Sri Lanka. As a club, we recognise the importance of nurturing young talent and providing a platform for the next generation of golfers to excel. We are fully committed to fostering the growth of the sport in Sri Lanka, and this event is a testament to our dedication to shaping the future of golf. I thank DFCC Bank for partnering with us by signing a three-year agreement to ensure this tournament has continuity. We look forward to the internationalisation of golf in the country with the Faldo Series and hosting in 2026 and 2027. We wish all the junior golfers the very best.”
