Leading steel wire manufacturers RS Steel Group of Companies fully sponsored the Mr. Novice 2018 bodybuilding competition held recently, organised by the GYM Solution Company.
Mr. Novice 2018 bodybuilding competition, which was fully monitored by the Sri Lanka Bodybuilding and Physical Fitness Association (SLBBPFA), was held at Hall de Galle. Sportsmen above the weight categories of 55kg to 85kg participated in the competition.
The winner of Mr. Novice 2018 Dinuka Harshana (Power Sak Gym, Mawathagama) clinched the winner’s trophy, winner’s medal, certificate and a handsome cash prize of Rs. 100,000. The second and third winners, Niranjan kumara (Shakthi Gym, Wattala) and Dulanga Madhuhansa (Simaathra Gym, Battaramulla) were awarded with runners-up trophies, medals, certificates, and cash prizes of Rs. 75,000 and Rs. 50,000, respectively.
RS Steel Chairman Dr. Ramesh Shivalingam, speaking of fully sponsoring the Mr. Novice 2018 bodybuilding competition, said: “RS Steel Company is keen in contributing towards the sports sphere in the country. With a view of offering a chance to sportsman in semi-urban and rural areas in the country, it is vital to take the games to those areas as well.”
