Rahul Most Popular School Rugby Player

Towering six foot plus Trinity College second rower, Rahul Danaraj was voted as the Most Popular Player for 2020 which was organised by Empire Clothing Club and D-Blaq and took place recently.

Out of the 20 selected players of the 2020 school rugby season 10 were shortlisted for the final round where Rahul polled 1,337 voted while Thomian Centre cum Winger, Sadaq Ishak took 1,234 votes holding the second place while third place was secured by Peterite Fly Half Maleesha Perera with 1,042 votes.

Three more lads from Kandy schools came into the top 6: Zaid Faizal (Trinity), Madeva Fernando (St. Anthony’s) and Asiri Seneviratne (Kingswood).
