Sri Lanka’s only warm-up match against a Bangladesh Cricket Board XI ended in a draw at Savar yesterday with rain having the upper hand allowing only 18.2 overs to be bowled over the two days. Sri Lanka resuming at 14-1 carried their overnight total to 50 without any further loss when the rains returned to force an abandonment of play for the rest of the second day.

Oshada Fernando and Kusal Mendis, the two overnight batsmen carried their second wicket partnership to 44 runs.

Fernando was unbeaten on 26, scored off 68 balls (three fours) and Mendis on 22* off 24 balls (two fours, one six).
