Ratnayake Central and Peterites champions

All Island Relay Carnival 2019

Ratnayake Central, Walala were in peak form as usual when they won the Overall Mixed Schools title (180 points), Girls Overall title (125 points) and the Boys Runner up championship (55 points) at the All Island Relay Carnival which concluded at the Sugathadasa Stadium recently. 

Meanwhile St. Peter’s College (82 points) retained the Boys’ Overall title at this event.

Ratnayake Central took major honours winning majority of the awards with the girls from the Hills accounting for seven titles out of the 17 on offer.

Ratnayake Central Girl’s won all Gold Medal’s on offer in the Under 16 segment. Lads from Bambalapitiya who too were in peak form in their Under 18 event winning three Gold medals, creating an equal number of records in all three of the events.

Holy Cross, Gampaha accounted for 79 points to end as runner up in the Girl’s segment. Dharmapala Pannipitiya (55) and Sir John Kothalawala Kurunegala 52) ended as runner up and third place respectively in the Mixed School segment.

Meanwhile in the Junior events Science Mount Lavinia (Under 12 Boys), Rahula Matara (Under 14 Boys) and Convent of Our Lady Victories, Moratuwa (Under 12 Girls) stamped their class.
