Current women’s national champion and holder of the title for three years in tandem, Fathoum Issadeen too will be participating at the same tournament under the women’s satellite category.

Sri Lankan Squash under the guidance of Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Namal Rajapaksa, Sri Lanka National Sports council and high performance committee initiatives have provided players with PSA memberships enabling them to take part in PSA sanctioned tournaments.

PSA tournaments are played by professional squash players world over. The membership has been extended to six national players including Ravindu Laksiri and Fathoum Isaadeen, enabling them to take part in all eligible PSA tournaments. In December, Sri Lanka Squash hosted the first PSA satellite tournament in Sri Lanka enabling Sri Lankan squash players to participate and claim International ranking points in the globe.

With more PSA International and satellite tournaments to be hosted in Sri Lanka, the national players will get the opportunity to earn better International rankings and earn entry qualification for more International tournaments while getting the much needed international exposure.
