Sri Lanka Cricket handed over cricket equipment to Danidu Sellaperuma, a cricketer from St. Joseph’s College, Anuradhapura, who scored a record 553 runs during a recent Under-15 school match.
The match was played under the Under-15 Schools Cricket Tournament (Division III, Tier B) conducted by Sri Lanka Cricket in collaboration with the Schools Cricket Association.
The cricket equipment was handed over to the player recently in the presence of his school team captain Pamula Lokuliyana and school coach Athula Rohana.
The items donated consist of three bats, three batting pads, three batting gloves, a wicket-keeping glove and a pad, three thigh guards, two helmets, and a cricket bag.
Sri Lanka Cricket during the middle of this year also handed over cricket equipment to his school’s Under-15 team, St. Joseph’s College, Anuradhapura.
