Colombo based referees prepare for Invitational Sevens

Leading referees from Kandy and Colombo were under training for the Invitational Rugby Sevens 2021 which will take place on 30 and 31 October at the Police Park.

Already 10 teams from the A Division have confirmed their participation at this two-day event which will be used as a yardstick for the Asia Rugby Sevens 2021 UAE selections. There will only be the Men’s Sevens event at this tournament. Women’s squad of 40 players are expected to start training under Head Coach Saliya Kumara later this week.

Referees with both vaccinations will be given preference with the necessary PCR tests done before moving in to the bubble.
