Remaining Navy home matches at neutral venues

All remaining Navy SC home matches will take place at neutral venues.

This was after an ugly brawl that took place between Navy Sports Club supporters and the ground Match Commissioner Thanuja Kulatunge during half time of the game that was played last weekend between Navy SC and Kandy SC at Welisara.

Security provided for the match officials was at question. The next home game for the Sailors against CR will be played at Race course ground.

The move was announced by Sri Lanka Rugby Deputy President Group Capt. Nalin De Silva (Rtd) who is also the Chairman of the Tournament Committee.

Further the SLR appointed Match Commissioner is also temporarily suspended pending an inquiry and final decision that will be made by the Disciplinary Committee of Sri Lanka Rugby in the near future.
