Reshan and Chalitha to tee off in APAC event in Tokyo today

Sri Lanka’s top Amateur Golfers, Reshan Algama and Chalitha Pushpika will tee off today (3 Oct) in the prestigious Asia Pacific Amateur Championship in Tokyo, Japan. 

In total 120 golfers from 45 countries will tee off in this mega event which concludes on 7 October.

The Asia Pacific Amateur Championship is one of the most important amateur golf, attracting top players from the Asia-Pacific Region, which first took place in 2009. The tournament is organised by the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation (APGC),

 the Masters Tournament, 

R and A.

The winner of the event receives an invitation to compete in the Masters Tournament and The Open Championship, to be played in USA making it a highly coveted title.
