Ritzbury powers Vidudaya Ritzbury Interschool Swimming Championship 2018

Ritzbury, Sri Lanka’s number one chocolate brand manufactured by Ceylon Biscuits Limited (CBL), has been significant in uplifting sports in Sri Lanka and is now taking a revolutionary step to sponsor swimming for the first time. The company will partner with the University of Sri Jayawardenepura, which has the largest swimming pool in Sri Lanka, to make the first Ritzbury All-island Interschool Age Group Swimming Championship a reality.

This Championship will attract over 2500 swimmers from over 130 schools and will be held on 27-28 January at the Pool Complex of the University of Sri Jayawardenepura. There will be 96 individual events and 24 relay events with under-9, -11, -13, -15, -17 and -19 competitors vying for junior, senior and overall championship trophies.

University of Sri Jayawardenepura Vice Chancellor Prof. Sampath Amaratunga said: “We are pleased and encouraged by the enthusiasm and support offered by Ritzbury as the leading brand of chocolate to make the interschool swimming championship a success. No doubt their commendable gesture will encourage more participants to focus on swimming to improve their health and fitness levels.”
