Ronny appointed Coordinating Secretary

Former Kingswood, Kandy SC, CH & FC, Police SC rugby player, Kingswood, S. Thomas’, St. Anthony’s. Isipathana, Navy SC and Indian Sevens Rugby Team Head Coach Ronny Ibrahim was appointed as the Media Coordinator for Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Namal Rajapaksa.

Ronny played for the Randles Hill school and led the outfit in 1986 and played in 1987 as well under Sarath Chandra. He comes from a sporty family being the third of six brothers all Kingswoodians. All six played for their alma mater and went on to represent Kandy SC and other clubs.

He started his coaching in 2002 as under 17 Head Coach and Kingswood. Three year later he produced a champion outfit remaining unbeaten and later shifted to S. Thomas’ Mount Lavinia as the Head Coach in 2007 and 2008. (SJ)
