Royal-Thomian Old Boys’ Cricket Encounter on 8 March

The annual limited overs cricket encounter between the past cricketers of Royal College, Colombo and S. Thomas’ College, Mt. Lavinia will be held for the 26th consecutive year at the Royal College grounds on 8 March. 

A number of alumni who played cricket representing the two schools will take part in two T-20 matches under the age categories below 40 and above 40.

Tournament Organising Committee Chairman Dr Priyantha Gunasekera said that this year’s team of over 40 old players consisted of renowned cricket players such as Gamini Perera, Nalliah Devarajan, Anushka Pollonnovita, Anura Bulankulama, Vajira Wijegunawardena, and Naresh Adhikaram. In addition, he said that the under-40 teams consist of players Jeevan Mendis, Kaushal Silva, Bhanuka Rajapaksha, Kithruwan Vithanage, and Ramith Rambukwella.
