Royal cruises to bonus-point-win against Zahira

Royal College completed a bonus point win when they outclassed spirited Zahirians outfit 44/3 thanks to a superb second half effort at Royal Sports Complex last weekend.

Zahirian forwards stunned the Reid Avenue outfit with some fantastic forwards rugby early in the first half. Royal scored through a penalty by Simak Dhafeek while Zahira responded their scoring through Mohamed Saad penalty. It was a close call between the two sides as there was no further scoring in the initial half.

After the turn around Savindu Pathirana touched down for Royal. Next move so Kavinash touching down for Royal to take the score to 16/3. But from there onwards it was one horse race as Zahira continued to pile up with their mistakes in the game.

Nabeel Hassan, Yasiru Seneviratne, Akram Faruk and Savindu Pathirana tries took the scores to 44/3 and a bonus point win. Referee was Aruna Shanth.
