As the curtain rises on the 2024 school rugby season, the attention of sports enthusiasts across the nation is firmly fixed on the highly anticipated Royal College rugby outfit, who have done well in the last 2 decades, winning the league number of times and retaining the Bradby in a row for 7 years. They felicitated its sponsors in a ceremony which took place at the Sports Ministry recently.
Royal Rugby will once again have NDB as the main sponsor, and Brandix Apparel, the event’s main sponsor, adding to the grandeur for the 2024 rugby season, showing confidence in their recent past performance of the Reid Avenue outfit.
Royal College, a bastion of academic and athletic excellence, is gearing up for the season under the captaincy of Thivain Perera and the coaching guidance of Dushanth Lewke, they are determined to add another chapter to their storied legacy.
Uber eats will be the co-event sponsor and Bicton will be the co-team Team Sponsor, junior rugby sponsor, along with a number of other sponsors for Royal Rugby.
Royal will lock horns with Kingswood on 15 June at home. They will meet Trinity College in their first leg of the Bradby Shield on 24 August while the second will be played at Pallekele on 7 September.
