Royal win Maj Milroy Fernando Trophy

Royal beat Isipathana to retain the Maj Milroy Fernado Trophy at the Royal Sports Complex last weekend. The Maj. Milroy Fernando Trophy was first presented in 1986. 

Maj. Milroy Fernando studied at Isipathana and later at Royal. He sacrificed his life while serving in Sri Lanka Army in Omanthai during the war against LTTE. His father Col. Dudley Fernando too was a Royalist. His younger brothers, Dilroy, Sanjaya and Sanjeewa, all played for the Green Shirts during 1980s.
