Rugby referees at full strength

All leading referees will be in action at the Warriors Rugby Sevens 2021 which will kick off at the Police Park today. This is return of rugby with eight teams locking horns in a tournament after 20 months of impatient waiting.

The Sri Lanka Referees Society headed by Dinka Peiris told Daily FT: “Our referees’ team is well prepared and ready at full strength. I thank all those who paved the way for the arrangements relating to getting the referees fit and updated with new laws and the weekly online educational workshops by Dilroy Fernando, Rohan Fernando and Nilco Bandara.”

For this tournament the team was selected under a bio bubble and all tested negative. They also abide by all the health guidelines laid down under the direction of Dr. Kalinga Ginige.
