Sri Lanka showed marked improvement by ending on level at 0-0 against India in the SAFF Tournament 2021 at the National Stadium – Maldives last night. At the short breather, scores were nil-all.
Sri Lanka Football President Jaswar Umar said holding 101 ranked India to a draw was the greatest achievement of 2021.
“This is why I said we are a set of people who can rise again in any conditions,” he added. “Together, let’s Restart Football,” Umar said, adding he will make a revolution in Sri Lankan football soon with everyone’s support.
Sri Lanka will play Maldives on 10 October in their last group encounter. (SJ)
