SL U-19 cricket outfit: Seven players from Central Province

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) announced their 26-member team for the Asia Cup in UAE and Under-19 Cricket World Cup in West Indies which will take place in the early part of 2022. Three players each from Katugastota Antonians and Trinity were selected along with one player from St. Sylvester’s College – Kandy.

These players were selected from the warm-up matches which took place at the Pallekelle International Cricket Stadium and the Asgiriya Stadium one month ago, where 75 players were grouped in to five teams.

The seven players are Pawan Pathiraja, Matheesha Pathirana, Vibahavith Ehelapola (Trinity College), Traveen Mathews, Chamidu Wickramasinghe, Lahiru Abeysinghe (St. Anthony’s) and Maleesha Silva (St. Sylvester’s)
