Having finished Round 1 on 4 over par, B.A Sanjeewa played a steady second round, coming into the 17th hole on level par.
However, a slight lapse of concentration with 2 three putts on 17 and 18 meant he was on the border of missing the cut of 60 players. Fortunately his overall score of six over par was good enough for Sanjeewa to qualify for the next two rounds.
After a four over par round 3 yesterday, he is now lying in 53rd place in the Asia Pacific Amateur Golf Championship 2017, being played on the beautiful but challenging Royal Wellington Golf Course in New Zealand.
The final round will be played on Sunday, 29 November.
