SLC Major Clubs L/O semi-final today

The first semi-final of the SLC Major Clubs Limited Overs will take place at the NCC grounds today when Sebastianites meet Badureliya SC.

The second semi-final between Colts and SSC is scheduled to be played at the same venue tomorrow (Sunday).

This game will be of importance to Colts who in their 150th year will be looking to win a tournament wholly.

Their attempt to get their hands on the Major Clubs T20 trophy was foiled by bad weather that saw them sharing the title with NCC after the final ended in a no-result without a ball bowled.

In the Major Clubs 3-day League tournament, Colts failed to qualify for the final finishing second in their group to SSC. Only the two group leaders qualified for the final. Tomorrow they get their third and final opportunity to win a title outright – to beat SSC and get into the final. If they can achieve that they will meet the winner of the first semi-final between Sebastianites and Badureliya SC. – (ST)
