SLG July National Ranking Tournament: Anura and Chalitha tied on top spot

Professional golfer, Anura Rohana and Calitha Pushpika of Sri Lanka Navy both ended tied for first place at the leader board of the July National Golf Ranking Championship on day 2 at the Victoria Golf Resort (VGR).

Talented youngster Haroon Aslam, who secured the third position with a score of 153. Haroon’s impressive performance so far sets the stage for an exciting battle in the coming days. With only two strokes separating him from the leaders, Haroon is well within striking distance, and it will be fascinating to see if he can make his move to the top of the leaderboard. He is the defending champion having won the last Ranking event.

Priya Hemantha, who was in the top 3 experienced a slight setback, finishing with a gross score of 154. This placed Hemantha in fourth position, just ahead of another strong contender, who is now in fifth place with a score of 155. Kumara the leader on day 1 to drop down 5th place after an ordinary day 2 he faced.

The next two days of play promise to be riveting as the competition remains fierce. The battle looks between Anura, Chalitha and Haroon for the top spot.
