SLN Small Open Bore Meet this weekend at Welisara

The Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) .22 Small Bore Open Meet 2022 will be held from 7 to 9 October at the SLN Small Bore Firing Range Complex in Welisara. The three-day meet organised by Sri Lanka Navy Musketry, will be conducted in accordance to the regulations and conditions of National Shooting Sport Federation of Sri Lanka (NSSF). 

Events will be held under the categories of 25m Sports Pistol for Women, 50m Rifle Prone for Men and Women, 25m Rapid Fire Pistol for Men, 50m Rifle 3x20 for Men and Women, 25m Rapid Fire Pistol for Men and 50m Rifle 3x20 for Men and Women. Events will be held under Youth, Junior and Open categories.

Commodore B.W.D.M.M. Dissanayake will head the operations of the meet as the Chairman of the Organising Committee while Lieutenant Commodore P.B.N. Pathmarathna will function as Director Operations. NSSF Secretary Pradeep Edirisinghe will be the Chief of Equipment Control for the meet.

The competition will be conducted as per the current ISSF (International Shooting Sport Federation) rules and regulations, which will apply in clothing of athletes, coaches and officials. Shooters who reach the minimum qualifying standards from this meet will be considered as qualified to be updated to the national squad for international events in the future
