SLR Governors Cup to kick off on Saturday

Sri Lanka Rugby (SLR) hosted Inter-Provincial, Governors Cup rugby event organised by the Western Province is set to take place on 18 November from 7.00 a.m. onwards at the Race Course rugby ground.

Men’s and women’s teams from all nine provinces of the country will participate. Among the 18 teams, 30 matches will be played with a special compulsory addition of three under-21 players for each team.

Teams will play for Cup, Plate, and Bowl segments. At the end of this year’s edition, hosting rights will be passed on ceremonially through a flag to the next province.
